Jordan Larmour
Leinster managed to bounce back after last weeks defeat to the Cheetahs. 'Bounce' is probably a bit strong - 'hop' maybe. It wasn't that fluid, but then there were a host of changes from last week, with McGrath, Furlong, Toner, Sexton and Fardy coming in to the team. Edinburgh defended really well, especially after their performance last week. But they are no great shakes in attack, they had to wait for Leinster to generously give them a try, but didn't threaten much apart from that. We could with Henshaw and Ringrose back. But at least Sexton is looking sharp. and I thought Larmour looked good when he cam on too - worth a shot in the centers. Big improvement needed for next week!
Connacht hard start to the season continued with a loss to Scarlets, a Ulster had a dismal loss to Zebre. Having said that, it looks like Zebre at home are a different proposition this year. Finally, Munster battled a bit with Cardiff in the first half, then pulled comfortably away in the second. Murray and Stander were as superb as ever.
The Cheetahs good run continued with a win over the Ospreys. Cheetahs for the Pro14 title? Maybe not, I'd say they sent over an under-strength side on their tour, and mum's home cooking makes all the difference when you#re at home. Finally, a nod to Scott Baldwin, bitten by a lion, now that's an excuse for being unavailable for selection!
