The new expanded PRO rugby tournament is back, and there is a buzz about the involvement of the South African teams, no doubt about it. The proof is in the pudding though, and we'll only know in May next year how it all pans out - do the fans here and in SA take to it, what is the effect of the travel, how competitive are they? I think they'll end up mid table.. and that the travel will be an issue. Already there are more SA teams keen to join!
Anyway, Leinster get going on Saturday at Rodney Parade against the Dragons - Bernard Jackman is the coach there, Zane Kirchner is the full back.. it's all being kept in the family. Gavin Henson is the Dragons fly half!
We've put out strongish team, we get to see Scott Fardy, and new caps for Scott Fardy and Jordan Lamour. Bring it on! I'd say we should win, it won't be a cake walk though.
